What is Teaching Practice?
Teaching Practicum (Teaching Practice) provides the opportunity to use your skills taught in our training facility in real classrooms to real schools to students of English as a foreign language. At first we build your confidence, we let you teach to your peers during our class room sessions, then we take you to real schools for practical training in real world settings.
Who is it for?
Teaching Practicum is for anyone who wants to learn by doing, not just theory in the classroom. This process will build your confidence over 12 hours as you will be teaching real students and managing real classrooms. During your practicals all your skills come together, such as Thai culture, Classroom management, Teacher administration, teaching methodologies and more, for you to gain an unsurpassed teaching experience.
What is the process?
During your in class sessions at our training facilities you will be doing both peer to peer teaching and observation of your fellow classmates teaching complete lessons using current teaching methodologies and class room management skills. We then take you to a local school for you to observe, team teach and eventually teach on your own in a structured environment. Then we take you to another school to give you practice thinking on your feet in an unstructured environment. At this school you will be physically living and teaching at the school for three solid days.
At the end of each teaching day our staff will meet with you to give you individual feed back and guidance on your teaching so that you can quickly gain the confidence needed to teach any level at any time.
