Entrust TEFL provides food for the poor and needy at Wat Suan Dok, Chiang Mai

Entrust TEFL receives the “Education Excellence Award” from the Teachers’ Council of Thailand

Once again Entrust TEFL, the Future Advance foundation, and the TEFL course Chiang Mai students spent the day at Wat Suan Dok temple in Chiang Mai, bringing essential goods to the local poor and needy and soaking up the culture, including music and traditional Lanna dance performances. Wat Suan Dok is a center of the community, regularly playing host to large charity events with many local philanthropic organizations such as Entrust taking part. Built-in the late 14th century, it is a site of historical significance, with notable features including a pagoda with Buddha relics and a garden of whitewashed mausoleums housing the ashes of ancient Chiang Mai rulers. The temple is located just outside the old city walls and was built by a long-dead King of Chiang Mai on the grounds of a pleasure garden. With spectacular vistas of Doi Suthep mountain at sunset, it is also a magnet for tourists, especially photography enthusiasts.
