The participant will be graded on in-class sessions, three quizzes, a final exam, two final projects, teaching skills, and observation in real schools.

Teaching Practice: Teaching practice and observation at real schools or classrooms to real learners of ESL may not be available during the school holidays months of March, April, May, October, and November, as schools are closed nor during your regularly scheduled course.

Course Transportation: Transportation is provided for all program-sponsored activities and teacher practice locations; however, the participant will be solely responsible to get themselves to and from our training center (approximately 800 meters) and to their final teaching destination once placed in a job

Failure of the course: If the participant receives a failure grade (below 70%), we allow the participant (upon our discretion) to retake and attend the next scheduled course absolutely free. However, the participant will be responsible for their own accommodation and other living costs during that time.

Rules and Safety Regulations: The participant agrees to abide by the laws and regulations of Thailand during your entire stay in the kingdom. The participant is solely responsible for claims, demands, damages, or fees that may be imposed as a consequence of deviant, immoral, or illegal actions.

Feedback & Media: Entrust TEFL reserves the right to use comments, digital or non-digital media to promote and market as it deems appropriate.

Premium Add-on ($500) - Airport pick-up, training accommodation, and excursion

Airport Pick-up: It is the sole responsibility of the participant to provide accurate, up-to-date arrival information and wait to be collected at designated areas. If the participant has not had communication nor be collected by staff after 90 mins, the participant will seek their own transportation to the accommodation as listed on their Arrival documents. During Course orientation present the “original” Taxi receipt for reimbursement (not over 300 THB)

Training Accommodation: The accommodation is provided during the course for up to 21 consecutive days starting on Sunday evening before the course start date. Should the participant arrive early or stay longer, they will be required to pay the Resort / Hotel directly for extra nights of accommodation upon check-in or check-out. A daily breakfast is included with accommodation, but all other meals are at the participants’ own cost. During Teaching practice, the participant may be required to check out of the resort/hotel as alternate accommodation and daily breakfast will be provided near the school.

Excursions: The jungle trekking excursion (CNX) and The Island-hopping excursion (KBV) are provided by local vendors. If you chose not to take part in the excursion it is non-transferable, exchangeable, or refundable.

Job Placement – Provided by StarESL

Job Placement: The participant may request a desired location or level for possible teaching placement; however, a guarantee may not be made on a specific location or level and may take 2-weeks to find a suitable placement as we are working with schools and agents for possible placement after the successful completion of the course.  (If you attended as buddies or a couple you may be placed together in the same school or close enough to live together)

Job Placement Acceptance: Once job placement is accepted the job placement portion of the course will be formally concluded and your contract signed.

One term commitment: I will remain at the school with which I am placed for a minimum of one complete school term (typically 4 months). Should I terminate the employment in which I was placed, I understand that Entrust is not liable or obligated to find another job placement for me.

Non-Caucasian applicants: Applicants may face delayed job placements; locations will be more restrictive and may experience reduced salaries.

Teacher age and educational requirements: Schools prefer university graduates 21 – 45 years old; however, there is no age restriction to teach in Thailand. If the participant is aged under 21 years or over 45 years old or currently does not hold a degree in any field the employer may put further requirements and/or restrictions on employment.

Loans: I understand that it is neither the responsibility nor obligation of Entrust TEFL, neither the employing school nor the agent to loan money or provide a draw-off future salary. The participant is fully responsible to manage his/her own funds during the course and during their residency in Thailand.

Salaries: The typical starting salary for a non-degree holder is 25,000-30,000 / degree holder is 30,000-35,000 THB per month. Salaries are normally paid between the first – fifth of the month in cash or to the participants’ Thai bank account. (Note: Once you have a work permit you can open a bank account)

Teaching Accommodation: The school, co-teachers, and the participants’ employer will help to find the participants’ own accommodation near the school. A typical furnished apartment will be between 2,500 – 6,500 THB per month of which the participant will be required to place a one to two months deposit, purchase bedding and any other personal living comforts associated with starting fresh in a brand-new country.

Visa and work permit – Provided by Future Advance Foundation (Included in overall enrollment fee, but invoiced directly by FAF)

The Visa: The applicant must pay $500 (excluding shipping) to FAF for the non-immigrant visa starter package documents to be sent to them, then use documents received from FAF and pay the visa application processing fee to the Royal Thai Embassy to obtain a visa prior to arrival in Thailand. If the applicant is unable to process the Non-Immigrant visa in their home country prior to arrival, they may arrive on a Visa on Arrival in Thailand. However, this is not recommended as it will incur additional costs over the initial $500 visa starter fee. The applicant will be required to take 2 weeks off from school (unpaid), purchase a visa to Laos, travel to Laos, hotel/hostel in Laos for 8-10 working days while the visa is being processed, and then return to Thailand.

The Work Permit: To obtain a work permit upon arrival at our training center, the applicant will require visa photos and a syphilis test obtained locally. The applicant will also require personal bank statements showing a balance of over 30,000 Thai baht (or equivalent) over three consecutive months. The work permit processing time is normally 10 business days (two weeks), upon collection a 5,000 Thai baht fee is required to be paid to the labor department for the work permit collection. (The applicant must be over the age of 20 years old to lawfully obtain a work permit)

Additional requirements: Additional in-country requirements to maintain both your visa and work permit will include, but are not limited to reporting requirements, transportation, additional payments, volunteering, medical checks, missed days from work, etc. Non-degree holders are urged to maintain the Non-immigrant O visa and work permit; however, degree holders may convert to a Non-immigrant B visa and new work permit once at the school.

Degreed Applicants: (Guaranteed Placement)

Guaranteed Placement Definition: To be considered for guaranteed placement the applicant must be over 21 years of age, hold a degree in any field, and hold a passport from either the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa.

As a degree-holding applicant: A teaching position will be available upon completion of the TEFL course through introductions to potential employers.

Non-Degreed Applicants: (Placement Assistance)

Placement Assistance Definition - Placement assistance is offered to applicants that do NOT hold a degree in any field or, do NOT hold a passport from either the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa.

As a Non-Degree applicant - It is clearly understood that Entrust TEFL cannot guarantee a teaching position upon completion of the TEFL course.
